Quadcross back with a bang for 2025

24/04/2025

To lift the curtain on the new season, we head back to the Czech Republic to Kramolin in the south-west of the country, where title-hopefuls shall make their first steps in their pursuit of becoming European Quadcross champion.

The Nepomuk Club has played host to various memorable racing moments over its history, including Kevin Saar’s title victory in 2021, and the high-speed and technical nature of this circuit will provide plenty of excitement over the course of the weekend.

Heading up the entry list, and donning the red plate, shall be the reigning champion of Harry Walker, who shall be looking to make it back-to-back titles, which is a feat unachieved since Saar took his most recent title in 2022.

2023 champion and 2024 vice-champion, Patrick Turrini, shall be looking to rediscover the form that took him to title glory a couple of seasons ago. A handful of poor results by the Italian’s standards saw him lose out to the young Briton, but you can be assured that no expense shall be spared in his pursuit of a second title.

You can’t bet against the 3rd place man from 2024 either, Mark Mclernon, as he improved with every outing last year, claiming a podium in the final four races of the season including victory in the second moto in Gdansk. It will be great to see Mclernon, riding on a wave of momentum, take to the gate in Kramolin and take the fight to the main protagonists of last year’s campaign.

A dark horse for this year, and certainly one we need to keep a close eye on, shall be the man who finished 7th in last years standings, Julian Veldman. The young man from The Netherlands made his debut in Alquediao in April last year, and proved to be quick straight away after making the move from sidecars at the end of the 2022 season. Whilst he may be more suited to the deep sand, rather than the hard-pack nature of Kramolin, this shall certainly be a great marker for the rest of the season.

Naturally, many more competitors shall be making the journey to Kramolin for this first round of racing action over the weekend of May 10th / 11th, however, if you at home cannot be here, you can keep up to speed throughout the weekend with the TV Live Stream, showing all qualifying sessions and races as it happens, exclusively on FIM-MOTO TV Channel, with the EMX Quadcross highlights following shortly afterwards.
