A press conference ahead of the annual Sidecar and Quadcross of Nations will take place at the Heerde circuit VIP Zone at 5pm on Thursday 25th September. The conference will be streamed LIVE on Facebook, with interested members of the public given the chance to become involved. Questions or observations submitted on the live Facebook feed will be fielded by a distinguished panel of team members and officials. These include Promoter of the Competition Martin Bena, event organiser Gerritjan Vierhuizen, Team Manager for the USA Mark Baldwin, Team Manager for the Netherlands Gert Van Werven, USA Quad team member Chad Wienen and one representative from team Netherlands Sidecars. This could well be Koen Hermans.
As well as the all-conquering USA Quad team, we are pleased to welcome the Argentinian delegation who also fought hard last year. From Europe, we have Quad entries from the UK, the Netherlands, Latvia, Estonia, Italy and France. USA will again be the team to beat, fielding top-guns Chad Wienen, Joel Hetrick and Bryce Ford. Fifteen Quad nations are already registered to compete, giving us a full gate for each race.
The sidecar entry is another strong turn-out, featuring ten teams already confirmed, and possibly more late entries expected from Ireland. Defending champions Team Netherlands are clear favourites on home soil, but it will be a tough fight all down the field. Teams from France, Germany, Belgium, Latvia, Great Britain, Estonia, Denmark and Italy will be throwing everything at defeating the establishment in their own back yard.
